Lionel Messi missing as Ballon'd'Or final 3 nominees get leaked

The Ballon d'Or 2018 ceremony will take place on December 3

Spanish radio station is tipping Luka Modrić to lift the Ballon'd'Or trophy - Modric will reportedly end Lionel Messi and Ronaldo's 10-year dominance of the Ballon d'Or Ahead of the Ballon d'Or 2018 award ceremony on Monday, December 3, Spanish radio station, Onda Cero have declared they have obtained the winner's list.

According to the report, Croatia playmaker Luka Modrić will be carting home the trophy, with Cristiano Ronaldo coming a close 2nd, while Frenchman Antoine Griezmann will be the third best. A further breakdown of the leaked winners list, revealed that Modric is reportedly set to end Lionel Messi and Ronaldo's 10-year dominance of the Ballon d'Or.

Interestingly, a report emerged last week that the trio of Luka Modric, Kylian Mbappe and Raphael Varane were the final top 3 candidates after the counting of votes. And now another list has emerged and only 1/3 of the names (Modric) resurfacing again.

Since winning the Champions League in May, the best player at the summer World Cup in Russia, Modric has enjoyed a great leap in his career.

However, in the new campaign, the midfielder has been struggling to reenact some of the skills he showed in the past.

At the last count, Modric has already carted home the UEFA Best Player of the Year award, and The Best FIFA Men's Player Award. Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously had reported Luka Modric has enjoyed a stellar year and is a favourite to scoop the Ballon d’Or award but Edinson Cavani is not convinced. The Ballon d’Or award crowns the best player in the world for the calendar year. The award has been bossed by Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo for the past decade, with each winning it 5 times.

understands that this could be the first time since 2007 that a new winner will be named and Modric looks to have the edge.
